Fix It Friday is a student led clothing and textile repair shop on the Illinois State University campus. Run solely on a volunteer basis by Fashion Design and Merchandising students, the shop offers quick sewing fixes and mending help to students and those in the local Normal community. My role in Fix It Friday was creating content for the socials, meant to bring awareness to the program, and its part in the community. When doing this my main goal was to get the word out, while also highlighting the detrimental effect the textile industry has on the world, offering ways to combat it via sustainable solutions.
